That's a nice idea! I hope building goes well and everything.

Keep in mind that there are occasional End resets. There will be a forum post each time to warn everyone about them a couple weeks in advance so you will have time to mine back up any materials you want to keep that are yours.

Edit - Congrats on finishing it! I will have to check it out sometime. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make money?
You can make money by selling DoD currency Emeralds by right clicking with them to "use" them. These can be obtained from Parkour,
Dungeons, Challenges, and other activities on the Server.
Parkour gives you money when looting the chest at the end as well.
When you kill mobs that are in Dungeons you get money.
When you Vote, and get a key for the Voting Crate at spawn, you have a chance to receive money and other items.
You can sell items to players by hand privately, use /auc, /shop, or set up SignShops on your island.
Sell items to the server using /sell.
You earn money by completing Challenges.
You can earn more money from Challenges, a neat title, and access to a special Member+ area by applying for Member+.

How do I invite someone to my island?
"/is invite (name)" then that person has to "/is accept"
WARNING: When you create, leave, join, or reset an island, your inventory is cleared!

How big are the islands?
The island size is 247x247. There is a 1-block gap between islands.

Can you add things to the spawn shop so I can sell items to spawn?
No. This would unbalance the economy that we have. There are plenty of ways to make money. See the above question.
For more info on this question with an explanation, click HERE

How do you get Seeds?
Bonemeal a Grass Block, then punch the grass that grows. You can get Bones from Skeletons that spawn on your island, or in Dungeons. Or you can buy the Bones/Bonemeal/Seeds from other players.

Does fire spread?
Nope! Fire spread is turned off.

My vote didn't work! What happened?
You most likely did not complete it correctly. Make sure you solve the captcha correctly. Make sure you put your name in EXACTLY as it is in game. For example, my name is FaliniFyreheart NOT falinifyreheart. Make sure you click the Vote button. Did you get a confirmation page?

I didn't get my vote rewards!
Make sure you use the "/claim all" command. This is in place so you can receive the tokens on the server of your choice.
You can spend tokens in the "/tokenstore" or "/ts" which includes fly time, special tools, weapons, keys for the Voting Crate at Spawn, and player heads! You can see what you can get in the crate by left clicking it.

How do I get more Dirt?
You can get more Dirt by buying it at the spawn shop at "/warp shop" ... You can earn more Dirt by doing Challenges and Parkour. Some give Dirt as a reward! There is also a chance to get Dirt/Grass by Voting and getting Voting Crate Keys to use at Spawn. Some player shops have Dirt for sale as well.

How do I go to the Nether?
The Medium challenge "Adept Builder" on the 2nd line gives you the Obsidian you need to make a Nether Portal! Or you can buy Obsidian from players.

Can I get to The End?
Yes! One of the last Skyblocks Challenges on page one gives you the materials needed to travel to The End.

How do I increase my island level?
It's simple - build! Some blocks are worth more than others. Stone Bricks are worth more than Cobblestone. Ore blocks are valuable, such as Emerald Blocks and Diamond Blocks. You'll figure it out! Tip: Variety is the spice of life!

How do I craft this item?
"/erecipe (name)" to see how to craft it! For example, "/erecipe repeater"
You can also check the Minecraft Wiki. For a link to it while in-game, type /wiki

How do I get animals on my island?
You can earn Spawn Eggs by completing Challenges, doing the Archer Dungeon, trading at Member+ Island. You can also buy/trade for them from players. Sometimes there are special events or parkour that may give spawn eggs!
You could also change your island biome and make a fitting area for animals to spawn. (Grass + Light)

How do I activate my MCMMO skill?
Hold the correct tool (or empty hand for Unarmed) and Shift+Right click to activate your skill.

I died, can I have my stuff back?
I'm sorry, but if you died, you died. That's just part of Minecraft. We don't have KeepInventory on for a reason. This is Skyblocks and it is meant to be a challenge. However, if you died because of a glitch or bug in the system, please let a staff member know about it or submit a ticket with what happened, what time it happened, including your timezone!

Can you make a public mine or experience grinder?
The public mine would take away from the feel of Skyblocks. Players can make Cobblestone and Stone generators. You can get all kinds of ores from completing Challenges, and doing the Parkour and Dungeons. Players can also make their own experience grinders. Make a mob farm, but don't make the fall fatal. Just enough so they'll live but be hurt!

Can you sell spawners? Can you let us earn spawners?
No. More info HERE

What mods are allowed?
Check out this thread for information on this.

Can I have a nickname?
If you purchase the Grass Rank from the Donation Store, you will have access to "/nick" with colors, along with some other cool perks!

What do the donor ranks get?
You can click "Donation Store" on the top bar and click on the picture of each rank to see what you will get. You can also check out the donor rank guide here. When you buy a rank, you get all the previous rank's benefits as well!

How do I make a SignShop?
Check out this page for more info.
To link to a picture of this in-game use http://tinyurl.com/dodsignshoptut

SignShop Help
Place the chest you will have your shop items in. Put in the items and quantity you want to buy/sell for each time someone clicks.

Sign:
[buy] or [sell]
Description line
Description line
$(price)

Anything can go in the description lines.
Use a Redstone Dust to left click the chest, then the sign. This will link them.

For example, if you wanted to sell 16 Carrots for $25, put 16 Carrots in the chest. Make your shop sign like this:

[buy]
16 Carrots
for:
$25

Redstone in hand, left click the chest then the sign. Now that it's linked, you can stock the rest of your chest.

When you left click on someone else's SignShop sign, it will tell you what you're buying/selling, how many, and for how much. When you right click, you will buy/sell.

How do I summon MCMMO pets?
Hold 10 of the item required, and Shift+Left Click the ground.
10 Raw Fish for a Cat, 10 Bones for a Wolf, 10 Apples for a Horse.

Will the block values be made public? Will you make a post on it?
No. You'll figure it out as you go along :)

How do you get Heads?
You have a rare chance to get them from usual Minecraft mechanics. A wither skeleton has a 2.5% chance of dropping a wither skeleton skull when killed by the player or tamed wolf. Skeleton, wither skeleton, zombie, and creeper heads are dropped by the respective mob if it dies due to a charged creeper's explosion.
You can get them from the Slayer title in /perks and from special events! You can also get them by killing mobs in general, or in dungeons!

What is Island Rank?
Your rank on the island top leaderboards. "/istop"

How do you get to the other Island Top pages?
"/is top 2" "/is top 3" etc.

Can I glitch to the top of the Nether?
You could, but you will get teleported away as soon as you go up there. This is to prevent abuse.

Is there a way to prevent a specific mob from despawning?
There sure is! Name a Name Tag and use it on the mob you don't want to disappear.
Note: Renaming a Spawn Egg does NOT work!

Could I have a birthday party? :D
You sure can! Make sure to post your birthday HERE and we will try to have a party on your special day!

I got my username changed and I can't do anything on my island! What do I do?
Send in a /ticket, including your old and new username!

PVP, Griefing, & Stealing - PVP is on outside of spawn! For a group of friends, if you don't want to accidentally hurt each other out in the wild, you could make an MCMMO party together. You can also set a "pvp deny" flag in your claim. Griefing and Stealing are allowed in unclaimed areas.

Protection & Claiming - You are able to protect an area with "/land" in a spot that hasn't been previously claimed. You may have a total of 6 claims. Doing "/land" in a claimed region opens a menu with options to add/remove players from the region, set the greeting and leave messages, and the ability to remove the region, as well as a button that opens up the flag menu. The flag menu includes PvP, access to chests, damage to animals, enderpearl teleportation, interacting with blocks (Buttons, levers, chests, etc), mob spawning, potion splash, and entry. These options can be enabled/disabled. You may also set the flags yourself with /rg flag. "/land home" to bring up the menu to teleport to your different region claims.

The Economy
Spawn Shop: You can speak with the Traveling Merchant at /spawn or use /shop to access the spawn shop. There are various supplies you can purchase if you need them.

There are a few different ways to make money.
Job Center: There are many sell signs around the Job Center at spawn that you can sell to. As you rank up, you gain access to more farms and sell signs. The 2nd line of the sign shows what Rank you need to be to use it, and the 4th line shows how much each individual item will sell for.
User Shops: You can make a shop of your own to sell and buy items. There is a thread HERE that lists active shops and their warps. Once you claim a region, you can set a /rg tp to it if you wish by using the command /srt <regionname>. We have SignShop for you to use for your shop.

SignShop Info:
Check out this page for more info, or use /signshop in-game.

Auctions: Access to Auctions can be purchased in the Token Shop, /ts.

You can purchase items that you may want or need from the General Supplies NPC, the Traveling Merchant at Spawn.

Mini-games & Events - To add some extra fun to the server, there are various minigames and events that happen!
 • Mining Bonus - All players receive a random beneficial potion effect upon mining diamonds.
 • Treasure Hunting - You must be at least Citizen rank or higher to loot Treasure Chests. Periodically, 10 treasure chests appear randomly in the world. The location coordinates are broadcasted when this happens. There is also one hidden chest. After the Treasure Chests spawn, you have 15 minutes to find them before they despawn. New ones spawn after 15 minutes.

"/tre" will show current treasure coordinates and how soon they will clear. "/tre near" will show how far away each treasure is from your location. There is a broad range of rewards you are able to obtain. Chests spawn with a Tier 1-5 assigned to them. "/tre rewards" gives a menu showing a list of rewards for each tier.

You can use a compass to help point you in the right direction. Right Click with it to choose which Treasure it should point towards. You can also Left Click and it will run "/tre near" for you.

 • Word Games - Occasionally a word game will appear it chat. It will be "Type ____ as fast as you can!" or "Unscramble ____ as fast as you can" or a math problem, or Minecraft trivia. The winner will receive a prize, which could be money, iron, or diamonds.
 • Multiplier Monday - Each week, every Monday a random multiplier will be applied to the JobCenter signs.

This multiplier can be seen using “/multipliermonday” and can be anything between 1.10 and 1.50, so there's a possible 10%-50% profit increase range.

 • Mob arena - Do /arena to travel to the Mob Arena.
Voting - Each day you can vote on our voting sites. You can do /vote in-game or go to the homepage of the /site and look on the left. After you've voted, do "/claim all" on the server of your choosing to receive your vote crates. Open the crates to get Vote Tokens with a chance to also get Diamonds. You can use the Tokens in the Token Shop by doing /ts or do /dod then click the Token Store button. You can also visit the Voting Merchant at /spawn downstairs at his stall. Check here for an in-depth look at the different voting crates you can get and their details. Below is a list of what you can purchase from the Token Store.

Token Store:
 • Voter Crate Key - Use to open a Voter Crate at spawn by the Voting Merchant. Left click the crate to see what all you can get!
 • Super Voter Crate Key - Use to open a Super Voter Crate at spawn by the Voting Merchant. Left click the crate to see what all you can get!
 • Auctioneer - Chat-based auction system. /auc for more info!

Advanced Particle Spells:
(Courtesy of Faldonboy on Bukkit Forum)

Some of these Spells are already being used in some shape or form on the server.
I am just listing these here for educational purposes.

FAQ:

 • Q: Will these cause the server to lag?
 • A: Not unless you do something incredibly stupid with them, some of the more particle intensive skills may cause FPS lag for those caught in them though.
 • Q: Help! My skills aren't working!
 • A: Ok, well, first of all have you modified these skills in any way? Either way post a LINK to the configuration for the modified skill, also add the config for the mob using the skill. I recommend using Pastebin for posting configurations.

 • Q: Will you make a skill for me?
 • A: Sure, if you explain what you want.
 • Q: Whats the difference between your normal skills and the targeted versions?
 • A: The targeted version targets the block that the player is standing on when the skill starts, this has several benefits such as being able to dodge skills that would normally hit no matter where the player is or not having the particles of a skill follow the player around(which makes no sense for skills like Volcano or Erupt).

=== Ice Spells ===

Blizzard: Add skill conditions to the actual Blizzard skill if you need them. There is an optional set of skills added that you can add to the BlizzardDamage skill to make it either reduce or increase the skills power depending on if its a hot or cold biome. Just add the skills BlizzardDamageWarm and BlizzardDamageCold to the BlizzardDamage skill.

I am here today to familiarize you with the mob plugin we use on the server which is called MythicMobs.
MythicMobs is a very powerful and complex plugin, and this tutorial will cover the basics to get you started with scripting mobs.

There is a 'plugin manual' located here which i will be making references to,
and you should be referring to it often when scripting for MythicMobs.

MythicMobs commands can be accessed in-game using the /mythicmobs or /mm commands.
So what is MythicMobs?
MythicMobs allows server administrators to create custom variants of mobs and bosses.

MythicMobs Features
• Giving mobs custom skills with powerful conditionals and delays, based on a robust system of triggers and/or timers
 • Modifying all mob attributes such as health, damage, speed, follow and combat range
 • Allowing mobs to use custom sounds, custom particles, and special effects
 • Setting equipment and creating custom items and drop tables with attributes.
 • Giving mobs Damage modifiers so mobs can be immune to, take half-damage or double-damage from certain damage types, such as fire.
 • Creating powerful custom Mob Spawners to spawn your Mythic Mobs at specific locations, with optional timers, attributes, cooldowns, and other powerful settings!
 • Spawning Conditions to give you finer control over where and when Mythic Mob Spawner and Random Spawning mobs can spawn! Make mobs that only spawn when it's raining, or on certain days!
 • Mob Levels to allow your mobs to level up and scale in power based on where and how they spawned.
MythicMobs Folder Structure:

So let's just jump right into it! We will start with a mob that is located in the Cathedral dungeon. Once you know how to make a regular mob, bosses can be made in a similar fashion and they will just have more health and more damage, as well as the custom created skills and drops that you specify.

IMPORTANT: Never use Tab, always use spaces. YAML is very important!
Notepad++ is a very good text editor to use, and i highly recommend it.

WretchedZombie:

Mob Breakdown
WretchedZombie: (This can be any name, as long as it is unique to the mob you are making.)
Mobtype: zombie (All mob types can be found here.)
Display: '&4Wretched Zombie' (This will be the name of the mob that everyone will see in-game.)
Health: 75 (This is the amount of hearts the mob will have.)
Damage: 5 (This is the amount of damage the mob will do.)
Equipment: (This is where you specify what items the mob will have equipped on spawn.)
  - R_PearlescentMask:4
  - R_CrystallineBlade:0
Drops: (This is where you specify what item drop tables the plugin will use to roll for items when the mob is killed.)
  - Tier1Misc_Common
  - Tier1Exp_Common
  - Tier1_Rare
Options: (This is where you specify what options the plugin will attach to the mob. The full list can be found here.)
    AlwaysShowName: true
    MovementSpeed: 0.2
    PreventOtherDrops: false
So now that you understand how to create the actual mob, let's move on to something more exciting, custom skills!

Mob Skills:

There really is no limit to how you can have a mob execute skills, and what conditions the mob will execute those skills with. There are the built-in skills such as: fireballs, arrows, etc. Then there are the MythicMob custom skills such as Pull (Pulls all players within a radius towards the casting mob at a specified velocity), Consume (Consumes nearby mobs of the given type that are within a specified radius. This deals damage to those mobs and heals the mob for each mob consumed), etc. You can even have a skill that executes a command from another plugin for example. The only limitation is your imagination! (yay for rhymes!)

You can find the full list of skills available to use here.

This is Commander Malor, the first boss you encounter in Cathedral:

Notice the Skills:
Code: [Select]
  Skills:
  - skill SmashAttack >0 0.2
Here is the actual code for the SmashAttack skill:

Note the following after the skill:
Code: [Select]
>0 0.2These parameters are using the following variables: [hp_modifier] <chance>.
>0 means as long as the mob is alive, and 0.2 is the chance % the skill will activate while the mob is alive. (1 = 100%)
You can also use ~onTimer:500 >0 1 for example.

As you can see, things can get very complicated very quickly. Trial and error is the best way to learn so you can have the mob act exactly how you want.

Custom Items:

Next next section we will talk about are the items you would like the mob to drop upon death, as well as items you would like for the mob to wear on mob spawn. Once you create a custom item, you will then need to either add it to an existing drop table, or create a new drop table.

Let's take a look at one of the items from the Tier3_Rare drop table that i have created:

This is the code for the item:

Item parameters:

Items are fairly easy to make, however it starts to get complicated when your specifying the drop chances for all items within the specified Drop Table.

Conclusion:

You should now have a basic understanding of the MythicMobs plugin, and how to script with it. It really is a lot to learn, but the more and more you work with it, the easier it will become. It is a very powerful plugin, and it can do some really amazing things! If you still don't understand something, or have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to reply to this thread and i will try my best to help you. I look forward to seeing your mob contraptions in-game!  :D

Important Server Information / Helper Application Guidelines
« on: January 09, 2017, 04:08:44 PM »
Make sure you follow these guidelines:
Before posting, think about are you the most qualified player to post an application? You don't have to be the number one player on the server to be accepted as a helper, but you should have a general idea of how stuff works.

If you are not well liked among the other members of the server, applying would be useless. A helper is a person who is respected among the server, not because of his title, but because they have earned it from the other players.

If you were to be accepted as a helper you acknowledge that you may never be promoted to a moderator or admin.

Once you have submitted your Application, please be patient.  Your application will be reviewed by our staff.  You will only receive a response if you are selected to fulfill a Helper position.  Only apply once.
Do NOT ask about your application, here on the forums or in game.

We don't give a negative response for a couple reasons:
-  Sometimes we are not as familiar with the player or you are a newer player and we want to observe
-  We may believe you are not ready to fulfill the role as a member of our staff yet, but you may in time demonstrate the qualities we seek.
-  We don't want to have to answer the constant questions about why someone was turned down as a staff member.

We use the applications of those who have submitted to keep an eye on those who have shown interests in becoming a staff member.  While we may not immediately invite you to join as a member of our staff, we may approach you at a later time to see if you are still interested if we feel you demonstrate the qualities we are seeking.

Helper Duties:
Please note that the primary job of a Helper is helping players.  This doesn't mean joining a player's island and building for them but instead trying to answer questions about how to do something relating to in-game commands, questions about rules, and pointing players to resources that we have made available for them.  Such resources include the Tutorials thread, FAQ thread, and new threads that we may post relating to server happenings or upcoming events.  While you may be asked for other duties, these are some of the basic things we expect our Helpers to be able to do.

This job is important.   Higher level staff need this support so they are able to focus on other tasks.

Helper Perks:
 • Custom Plot on Creative Server to use for contributing builds for network.
 • Tab name will display as light green to all.
 • will be displayed on hover of name in global chat.
 • Access to Staff Chat channel. /sc <msg>/sctoggle.
 • Access to /kick and /tempmute.
* Helpers are given access to /kick and /tempmute in the event of a player that needs to be dealt with when no other Staff member is available.
These commands have their actions logged and abuse will result in demotion of rank.

You may apply for Helper here.
*Note: Please do not try to do this from a mobile browser. Must be done from a computer.

Dungeon Ideas
Dungeon build ideas, mobs, themed dungeons..

Dungeon Ideas
Regular /dun for regular dungeons. Go thru fake nether portal to go to a nethery lobby that has nether themed dungeons for a whole different set. nether portal above the lake? witch had a ritual to summon a portal or something.
sounds and smells messages with area triggers.. greeting/farewell flags.
open a chest (mimic!) spawn a mob/zombie. mix in with other chests with small treasure in an abandoned treasure room in a dungeon. trapped chests that actually do effects.

Zelda dungeon - Falini
Sprinkles Dungeon still needs mobs.
Monty Python dungeon with evil white bunnies! Zombies with iron armor for Knights who say Ni, etc.
Alice in Wonderland
Spider dungeon. Spider Queen boss, the other kind of spider for normal mobs. Cobwebbed lair. Change the Cathedral boss to a Skeleton.
Staff Dungeon
Dungeon that starts on Earth, ascend to Heaven's gates, then plunge into the pits of Hell. 9 levels of Hell.
Sewer dungeon, get quest from sewer secret npc to bring back a slime boss drop from it (or other idea)
Game of Thrones dungeon. Build the wall, go north. Zombie+Skeleton riders. (on Zombie and Skeleton horses)
Skyrim themed dungeon.
Fallout theme.
Harry Potter - mobs hold wans (sticks) shout out spells
Lord of the Flies
PAC man
Mario theme
Fairy village. Giant mushrooms, exp orb mobs, arrow and egg mobs, etc.
Reverse prophunt.
Note: Try to think of puzzle rooms, or moving parts! Something interesting!

Dungeon Lobby/Warps
Add a dummy permission to the player when they right click the warp sign in the dungeon lobby. Then they can use a command to directly warp there. If they haven't clicked the sign and don't have that permission, they cannot use the direct command.
This would make the players have to find the warp signs in the lobby before being able to fast travel there.
Custom commands like /archerdungeon /cathedral /labyrinth

Need one last area built in the lobby. Over by the fishing hut, there's a ladder going down behind a tree. We could put something there.

Heaven, Hell, Limbo, Purgatory, Underworld
Blocks, Ladder, Water, Fence, Special (Parkour blocks. Obsidian, Emerald, Etc)
Rainbowy maps.. If Nyan is finished, that can be Unique one.
Ores set. Diamond, add in Redstone and Gold one that Knight made, make others.

TETRIS parkour! With pressure plates that do the music theme as you progress thru the parkour (I can do this thru VT)
Horrible made a Dropper map, doesn't work right with parkour plugin. Do something with VT or another plugin so we can have Dropper courses.

Maybe at some point we can take advantage of the Parkour Exp and Levels.
Fun Ideas
Anything random and fun that don't really fit anywhere else.

Fun Ideas
Script a TriviaBot NPC that gives a limited amount of money for answering questions. Money refills every X hours. Or a Trivia Plugin.

Spawn scavenger hunt. I've done a few myself, but could have monthly hunts or something. Or maybe a plugin.

Wild Emeralds - A random location will be chosen at spawn for a wild emerald to appear. A unique broadcast would go off informing the players that are online at that time to go hunt it down. Operation would repeat several times in one day or at specified times.
NPC Quest Ideas
Ideas on any quests for non-survival.

NPC Quest Ideas
Skyblocks Sewers Quest:
Quest from TMNT to search the sewers for Thieves. Player skin mobs to kill? If not, just go find their loot and bring back TMNT a certain item. Keep rest of loot.

Skyblocks Dungeon Lobby Quest:
Paul_Tergeist is a ghost in the crypt. Gives a story how one of the bosses in the dungeon killed him and has his remains. He cannot rest in peace without them properly buried in the tomb. Bone item named Paul_Tergeist's Remains, drop from one of the boss.
Or, put a sign in the crypt room that goes to a mini dungeon where his remains are hidden or dropped off a mini-boss there.

hp0penwiew's idea: Skyblocks Spawn Lobby Quest:
Clumsy_Smurf is a new player who recently lost his chest full of items to the void. In return for everything he lost (the items found in the beginner chest), he will reward the player a sum taken from the money he received when he first joined.
I am drawing a blank as to how we could prevent new players from taking their chest and giving it to this NPC.

Horrible's idea: Spawn Party Room Quest: Bring to the Party Animal 5 cakes and 1 firework, Reward: 2 Nauseous Potions renamed to (fill in the blank alcoholic beverage)
PVP Ideas
Anything that has to do with PVP. Arenas, plugins, in survival, etc.

PVP Ideas
SPLEEF!
Whimsyshire/Whimsydale themed PVP Arenas and Spleef arenas (Diablo 3)
Name idea and to base alliances off of: Ravnica from Magic the Gathering.
RPG styled Factions. Basically what it is is that when a player joins he must chose between 2-4 Alliances to join. Each Alliance is at war with one another and are constantly fighting.

Throughout the world there will be quests for each specific Alliance to try to undermine the other Alliances such as kill 25 members of the other Alliances. The Alliances will be the only factions available to join and players cannot make their own faction in order to make this work.

There can be "Safe Zones" where its Neutral ground and players cannot fight and can visit stores, start quests, team up with members of their alliance, or meet with other alliance members and team up temporarily if they choose to trust each other. Safe Zones could also be an entire city like we might have in Survival, and each Alliance can have their own city where other alliances can go if they dare.

Members of each Alliance can get the Alliance name as a Title so that people can tell who is with who. (Maybe a title above their head as well kinda like the Donor, Helper, Mod, and Admin titles so that you can tell who is who when out in the world).
Donor Ideas
Donor perk ideas, or places on the server for them.

Donor Ideas
Move "/back" to Gold+? Is a powerful perk for dungeon running. Death's decision.
Blueprint Builder needs to be finished up, for Obsidian+
EchoPet. Member+ could have a few basic ones (Wolf, cat) then as the donor ranks go up, you get more pets. Turn off ability to fly. Maybe have the pets attack for higher donor ranks.
Other Ideas
Stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else

Other Ideas
For the Nether, there could be a button on /donorisland that sends you to the Nether in that spawn room, but check with VT (if possible?) to require the permissions that you've completed Adeptbuilder (That's the challenge that gives you 10 Obsidian to make your own portal)
Maybe add permission to the nether portal challenge reward. Put the Nether Spawn that Fal made near her plot where the /spawn skyblocks island's nether portal goes. This way, no one's spot is taken.

Musical Island for fun. Maybe as one of the spawn secret Easter Eggs.
Holiday Ideas
Anything that specifically deals with holidays!

Holiday Ideas
Holiday themed parkour, explorable maps, goodie chests, build competitions..

November 20-30 ~ Thanksgiving/Autumn
Parkour: Turkey statues, big turkey in middle where loot chest is? Food, cornucopia, fall stuff, big leaves made out of wool/clay, orange/red/yellow/brown. Just ideas and notes.

December 30-January 1 ~ New Years events (Fireworks show, goodie chest, drop party, ball drop with VT?)
April .. April Fool's, Easter
May .. Spring flowery
July .. Independence Day
August .. Summer type parkour?

Ban Appeals / Notice to Community about Ban Appeals!
« on: January 07, 2017, 09:29:45 PM »
Nightwolf:

Quote
Ban Appeals are between the player that was banned and the staff. These are left open and view-able for the community to see because we want everyone to be able to see that we try to be fair in how we handle these appeals. This process is known as transparency. It helps to ensure that staff are not acting on bias or some level of corruption but instead keeping things fair, which is something I believe greatly in.

In almost all cases, if you managed to get banned, you have earned it. We do not just arbitrarily decide you need to be banned because we didn't like something you said that day or you had a skin we didn't like (though if you were using a truly offensive skin, a staff member may approach you concerning it).

We left the ban appeal section open so everyone could post in it. This serves a couple of purposes. This again allows us to have the ban appeals view-able by all instead of making it a form that is submitted to us and kept strictly between player and staff. The biggest reason to allow players to be able to post is so they can also present evidence either for or against a player that is appealing. Sometimes, players have additional screenshots and logs from their personal clients that can be submitted as additional evidence in a particular ban appeal. This is not for players to post their OPINIONS on how staff should handle the appeal. As players, we ask for your feedback in many areas, but ban appeals are not one of those except to provide evidence. Sometimes that evidence could be incriminating, sometimes it could be to help prove the player's innocence. Either way, we want that. But we do NOT need players telling us that they don't THINK someone should have been banned for what they posted in their appeal. In many of these cases, the person submitting the appeal has left out a LOT of detail. Either that the offense they are posting was only their last in a long line of issues or they are listing the smaller things they did and completely omitting the BIGGER things that they were caught doing and really banned for from the server.

Usually, if you give staff time to reply, you will find out more detail on the offense, especially if I am the one replying. I normally will try to find the staff member who did the banning (if it wasn't me) or locate the report on the ban and pull up the details. Once I have all the information about the ban, I will reply with not only the decision about the ban appeal but usually will shed more light onto why the player was banned (in cases where they didn't fully admit all the issues we had with them). This is done to help players understand the nature of that player's ban and the decision that staff reached.

Ban Appeals / How to write a ban appeal.
« on: January 07, 2017, 09:27:47 PM »
We do believe in a player being able to change and offering them a second chance. We recognize that it can be difficult to change one's behavior and attitude, but through this appeal you are granted the chance to show that you willing to change and follow the server's rules. Please take this chance seriously. If you are granted this second opportunity and continue your old behavior, your ban will be reinstated.

An appeal should at-least include the following:

For how long have you been banned?
 • Why were you banned?
 • When were you banned?
 • What mod or admin banned you? (if you don't know, don't answer)

Make sure you include all information of the incident that got you punished. If you are dishonest in an appeal, you will be perma-banned, with no opportunity to appeal. The word of the mods and admins are final. No point in arguing.

Server Suggestions / Dungeon Mob Suggestions - Post Here!
« on: January 07, 2017, 09:25:52 PM »
Thread created by Death

I have created this thread due to the fact that i am currently needing more suggestions for custom mobs and their skills.

As i am going through the process of creating new custom mobs for the re-configured dungeons, i usually get ideas for different skills which ultimately leads to a whole new custom mob or boss! However, i would like to get ideas from the community as well about certain things you all think would be cool to see a new mob or boss have, specifically their skills.

Keep in mind the custom mobs must be within the realm of possibility and within a reasonable level of complexity (cannot have 100 abilities and adds).

With all of that being said, there is quite a bit of options available for mob skills (which i will go ahead and list) to give you an idea of just some of the things that are possible with custom mobs!

Also, please try to be creative about your suggestions. Don't just suggest something like a spider that shoots a fireball or something...which actually would be pretty cool for a minion that is spawned by a boss! Be creative with your suggestions, you want super cool mobs after all...don't you? :D

Perhaps even something like this:
Quote from: Random Player
I would very much like to see a wither skeleton necromancer that has the following attributes:

- Low Health
- Leather armor (dyed black)
- Immune to Poison/Wither/Knockback
- Average DPS
- Chance to summon wither skeleton minions that only live for a few seconds.
- Consume nearby wither skeleton minions within a radius dealing damage to them to siphon health to boss.
- Drops above average gear with a small chance to drop an epic diamond sword with OP enchants.

You get the idea...  :D

Don't let the following information in the Spoilers below scare you from making suggestions. The information is simply there to help you with your suggestions. I will take on all the difficulty involved in creating the mobs (unless you want to help script them?? :P).
